Problems / Pains

  • Many Web2 companies have a hard time finding Web3 developers.
  • The traditional internet users might also have bad time understanding crypto, DAOs and dealing with wallets.
  • No-code entrepreneurs have no idea where to start in order to create a Web3 apps.

Solution

While people and companies are not yet ready for the full Web3 experience, GLU3 is here to help them. It is a dev tool that bridges the gap between Web2 and Web3. This dev tool is aimed to create an entrire suite of low code tooling required for web2 developers to integrate web3 functionalities in a simple manner. For example: Want to add crypto payments to your Shopify app? Want to reward tokens to your users without them having to create a wallet? Want to give away NFTs to your users for certain events without them having to create wallets? GLU3 is here to the rescue.

For this hackathon, we have created a no-code token factory and an easy to use REST API through which organisations can create tokens for their application. We also plan to build tons of plugins for every no-code tool out there.

What it does

GLU3 automatically generates smart contracts that can be accessed by its owner via traditional APIs and via our Frontend interface. The tokens created with GLU3 also have what we call temporary funds. So we can start distributing tokens for users who still don't have a wallet or who don't understand anything about Web3 (yet). Once the users are ready to go into full ownership and self-custody, they can claim their tokens from the temporary fund into their wallets.

How we built it

With Near JS and Rust SDKs, NextJS, React, Prisma, Typescript, Supabase, Netlify etc.

Challenges we ran into

Dealing with token custody and deciding what route to take in order to help onboard the biggest number of web2 users as possible.

What's next for GLU3

  • Creating NFT Factories
  • ICOs factory (exchanging for USN)
  • Creating as many No-code plugins as possible (Shopify, Bubble, Bildr etc)
  • Improving security
  • Creating a paid service with self-hosted backends (which adds security to each token)
