INTRODUCING GlobeCast Inspiration We try to spotlight international emerging actors, so there is more diversity in media.

What It Does GlobeCast is a platform that allows a user to select any country on a map and see an upcoming actor and their movie. This way, the user can learn about new actors and learn more.

How We Built It HTML for the formatting, CSS for the style and aesthetics of the website. JavaScript for the functions of the interactive buttons and map.

Challenges We Ran Into We first didn’t really know how to execute our plan, but we decided to dive deep and kind of explore different things. We learned what Vite is for the first time and kind of played around with React. Making the map interactive was probably a big issue we had.

Accomplishments That We’re Proud Of Designed a user -friendly interface. Overcame challenges despite being new to React & Vite. We also gained exposure to GitHub and working in different branches at the same time.

What We Learned What React & Vite is. How important it is to narrow down on an idea and then decide which platform is best to execute it with rather than doing both simultaneously and getting overwhelmed.

What’s Next for GLOBECAST? Some things we need to accelerate GlobeCast is to make it display multiple actors from many countries and a little bit about their background and their story about becoming an actor.
