Inspiration

My project is an interactive 3D globe that allows users to visualize and explore timezones across different countries in real time. I wanted to make understanding global time differences more intuitive, engaging, and visually immersive instead of relying on traditional flat maps or static timezone tables.

What it does

The project was inspired by the difficulty of coordinating across multiple timezones in an increasingly remote and globalized world. I wanted to build a tool that makes it easier to instantly understand global time differences in a more visual and interactive way. Users can rotate a 3D globe, explore countries, and view real-time local times across regions in a seamless and intuitive interface.

How we built it

This entire system was built using MeDO AI, where the application is generated and iterated through human-language instructions. Instead of traditional coding workflows, I described the features, interactions, and design behavior in natural language, and MeDO AI translated them into a working 3D interactive system.

Using MeDO AI allowed rapid development of complex components such as 3D globe rendering, real-time timezone synchronization, and smooth interactive animations without needing to manually implement every layer of logic. This made it possible to focus on refining ideas, user experience, and visual design while the system handled most of the implementation details.

Challenges we ran into

Even with a natural-language-driven system, ensuring accuracy in timezone calculations and maintaining smooth 3D performance required careful iteration and refinement of prompts. Some edge cases, such as daylight saving time adjustments and region-specific offsets, needed multiple refinements to get correct behavior.

Another challenge was expressing complex interactive behaviors clearly in natural language so that MeDO AI could generate the expected UI interactions and performance optimizations consistently.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of successfully building a fully interactive 3D globe application entirely through MeDO AI using human-language instructions. The project demonstrates how complex systems like real-time timezone visualization and 3D interactions can be created without traditional manual coding. Most importantly, I was able to turn a complex and often frustrating conceptโ€”global timezone coordinationโ€”into an intuitive, visually immersive, and interactive experience.

What we learned

Through this project, I learned how powerful natural-language-driven development can be when combined with AI systems like MeDO AI. I gained a deeper understanding of how to structure clear instructions so that complex behaviors can be accurately generated and refined.

I also learned more about timezone systems, real-time synchronization challenges, and how to design intuitive 3D user experiences.

What's next for NowGlobal

Next, I want to expand NowGlobal into a smarter global coordination tool by adding features like AI-suggested meeting times based on multiple timezones and user preferences. I also want to enhance the 3D visualization with richer geographic details and smoother transitions.

In the future, I see potential in extending MeDO AI further to support more advanced AI-assisted application building, where entire interactive systems can be created through natural language alone.
