Did you know that a typical passenger vehicle emits about 4.6 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year? According to the Green House Emission center, every gallon of gasoline burned creates about 8,8 grams of CO2. If you are well aware of global warming and strive to contribute in saving the environment, then we have the perfect mobile application for you - GlobalWarn.

Global warn is a guide which detects the user’s movement whether they are walking, cycling, running or using a vehicle. It gives a user an insight in each of these activities and tries to motivate him to use less vehicles. Imagine going to work using a bicycle for a week, and you get a notification: ‘Congratulations! You are helping to save an iceberg.’ Each of these achievements are shown in the user’s profile as badges. The app also contains insight of global CO2 emissions and a chart of predicted reduction of CO2 emissions by using the application. There is a leader board where users can compete in sparing the most CO2!

Used technologies: Android studio, ActivityRecognitionApi from Google services, Firebase, Python for ML, Heroku scheduler.
