Inspiration:
My inspiration for creating this website was the recent earthquake that struck the eastern part of Turkey. It motivated me to raise awareness about the impact of climate change and promote sustainable living practices.
What it does:
The website raises awareness about climate change, promotes sustainable living practices, and provides information, resources, and tools for individuals and communities to reduce their carbon footprint and mitigate the effects of global warming. Additionally, the website offers news and updates on climate change research and policy developments.
How we built it:
We used React and Vite to create a fast and easy-to-use website. We used Figma for designing and planning Git for version control, and VS Code for coding. Netlify was used for hosting, and ElevenLabs handled the contact form submissions.
Challenges we ran into:
Debugging errors and crashes during deployment were our main challenges. However, we persevered, and our website was successfully deployed online.
Accomplishments that we're proud of:
We created a fully functional website with an aesthetically pleasing design that we are thrilled to share with the world. Our dedication and commitment to excellence were evident when we successfully deployed our creation online.
What we learned:
We learned the importance of modular code and reusable components. Breaking down complex features into smaller, more manageable parts simplifies the development process, and enhances website scalability and maintainability. We also gained valuable experience in problem-solving, teamwork, and other aspects of hackathon participation.
What's next for GLOBAL WARMING
Continuing to raise awareness about the urgent need to take action against climate change and working towards finding sustainable solutions for a better future is our next step.
