It has the patient records which can be access by patient and Doctors. This will help them to maintain and add the record more easily

Inspiration

My grandmother is a heart patient and have other health issues as well due to old age. Whenever we go for her checkup we need to take all the reports and doctor's note and all the medication which is a very tedious job and it made me thinking if my family who belongs to upper middle income faces this issue think about all the people with economic, education difficulties how they are managing it makes impossible for them to have proper health care. If you are refugee in some other country then there is no way to access your medical history in case of emergency. Keeping these scenario in mind GHR is created.

What it does

It is built with the vision that instead of patients, medical facilities should maintain the health records as they are better equipped with. The patient with a wallet can create an account and add his/ her personal details and their previous medical history(blood group, allergies, reports). Only doctors with legal medical licence(in our case NFT which can issued by the government) or the patient can only see the information. The doctors can add their notes, their procedure to the profile so that in the case of emergency just with an id the other doctor will have all the information about the patient.

How we built it

We built it using

  1. Next.js as frontend framework,
  2. styled with Tailwind.css,
  3. Hardhat for local development and
  4. Solidity for Smart contract creation
    1. Lit protocol for encryption of data

Challenges we ran into

Most challenging part was to provide a decentralised app (so that patient and their family even the insurance company can see the who is accessing the data ) without disclosing the sensitive information.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we were able to ideate such good will idea and was able to create a basic version of the app. And was able to submit it in the hackathon😊

What we learned

Web3 can make a huge impact on health care system if proper infrastructure and applications are provided. Though it will requires more support from Web3 community as well as from the government.

What's next for Global Health Records- (GHR)

We will create a more user friendly frontend, We will consult with the medical professionals and experts about the features and fields needs to be added for the app. We will pitch our ideas to government for funding and support.
