Inspiration

The lack of access to healthy produce in different communities inspired us to create a free resource that was run by the individual communities like a franchise and with our take one, plant one rule, the garden is continuously being replenished.

What it does

Our non-profit website serves as a hub for people to find community gardens near them based on their current location. In addition, it allows people who want to start a garden to become an owner, all expenses paid through our paid sponsorships. Lastly, it has a delivery feature to serve as an accessibility feature because some people may not be able to travel to the garden due to disability or lack of transportation.

How we built it

We used HTML, CSS, and Adobe XD( User Interface ). We planned out the project on a google doc

Challenges we ran into

When we were trying to export out of adobe xd, it started to an error saying we couldn't export for some reason but we eventually figured it out.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

What we are proud of is that we push through the challenges that we came across.

What we learned

Team works make the dream work.

What's next for Global Garden

In the future, we would like to expand beyond produce and start to provide a variety of free products for our consumers. In addition, we would put out a call for extreme couponers to help reduce the cost of buying those products.
