Inspiration
Due to the pandemic, we felt disconnected from many of our friends and often resorted to playing online games like Wordle by the NY Times. Now that we are back in person with all our friends, we still want to enjoy our favorite game, but no longer be alone!
What it does
This game allows two players to put their name in and have 7 turns each guessing a five letter random word until there is a winner.
How we built it
We used our knowledge in C++ to make this a fun terminal game and spent time coding together. Through object oriented programming we made players and a game.
Challenges we ran into
We don't know front end, so we had to adapt with colors and make it as fun as possible with our limited skillset!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud of the colors and we couldn't stop playing the game together, so making the most of our personal skillsets is a huge accomplishment.
What we learned
We learned a lot more about git, collaborating on projects, and dealing with tricky edge cases.
What's next for Global Connections Wordle!
We will continue playing with friends and hope to make it even better with more players and eventually add frontend development for an app.
