Inspiration

With the increasing curiosity of what’s beyond earth, I thought it would be quite useful to serve that information from NASA. Since many people feel overwhelmed with the amount of information out there, NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day, APOD, API was a perfect way to give people a daily dose of space.

What it does

GlimpseOf.Space does exactly what you’d expect it to do! It gives you, the viewer, a small glimpse of the fascinating things beyond our current reach.

How I built it

I built this website using a bit of JavaScript and HTML to parse and display the JSON information returned by the API.

Challenges I ran into

Initially, I struggled to parse the data significantly, but after much research was able to get the data to parse and display correctly.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Correctly parsing the JSON Data.

What I learned

I learned better API and JavaScript implementation.

What's next for GlimpseOf.Space

Clean up the design, making it more sleek and modern.
