Inspiration

All of us had dreams in which we would love to revisit no matter how absurd they are. However, Most of us don't remember those dreams that we have no matter how eventful they are. That is why we created Poke Recipe (via iMessage) and Glimpse to bridge that gap

What it does

Poke Recipe is where you text a description of your dream you just had to Poke. Poke would first use Claude to streamline the description and then send that information into Pika's MCP where a AI generated video is made. The video will be saved on Supabase where Glimpse, our website would then be available for access. 

How we built it

We started with the poke recipe first with learning how recipes work and how we can connect it with Pika's MCP and supabase for a picture of the user. It would use the user's picture as the person of interest for the video. The video would then be sent back to the users phone and supabase. Later the users can view its dreams that have been stored on supabase in Glimpse.

Challenges we ran into

Pika's API was not fully developed, which forced us to use their MCP to create our videos. The MCP had a long wait time when adding a photo with the prompt. A group member with Codex had an issue were they not able to generate sample videos, which meant the member with Claude Code, had to manually enter the prompt and photo for each video. Another problem we faced was when poke was unable to connect to Pika's mcp.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able keep persevering when we had trouble setting up Pika's MCP. When their MCP's stopped working, we adapted to what we had. When we made the decision to pivot to the project we have now, we worked efficiently even with some sleep in between work. The project that we have is something we are proud of given the circumstances.

What's next for Glimpse

A feature we would like is if we can sync to the alarm clock most people use on their iPhone. Onboarding new users is an area where we need more work done and we would like more ways for users to interact with peoples dreams.
