Inspiration

I did this project over the weekend from November 26th to November 28th and I was inspired by Elon Musk's SpaceX journey. I wanted to make mine since then. I created this website to raise funds from individuals who are willing to sponsor and further our space exploration journey. Try the website out! And tell me what you think about it 😸

What it does

GLAVID is a company that works together with NASA and SpaceX to help speed up the journey to Mars. We work on those insignificant and little details. We try to make Mars a perfect place for humans to live. We are on a journey to give humans the privilege to live a multi-planetry life!

How I built it

I worked solo on this project and I used some tools made available already. I made sure to make the best out of what I had to make something amazing! I built this project over the weekend using just HTML, CSS and JavaScript but it all turned out nice!

Challenges I ran into

The time was quite short, but I was able to pull through. I also had some teammates problems who bailed out on me at the last minute, I also had to start thinking of design inspirations, choosing a project theme and what I could do to help benefit humanity. But despite all these, I was able to complete the project on time!

Accomplishments that I am proud of

I was able to finish the project 100% and I'm quite proud of myself for that. The website works, it is fully functional, sleek, and the design looks quite nice.

What I learned

I learnt so many new things while working on this project. I have never built anything related to space before, but this hackathon gave me the opportunity to that. I learnt new technologies, syntaxes and systems which I never knew before. Thanks NextStep Hacks, for this opportunity!

What's next for GLAVID

If we are able to win this hackathon and gain attention from potential sponsors, we would love to launch our first rocket by June 2022 and land our first mission. We would also continue promoting this project to reach a larger audience.
