Inspiration
We were inspired by our struggles as women in the tech industry. We have found it challenging to navigate the nuances of this male-dominated field and we wanted to create a space that improves the experiences of those to come.
What it does
Our website connects women in STEM with others around the world to allow them the opportunities to grow and succeed in their careers and lives. It is dedicated to needs specific to women's success in the workplace. Community is one of the biggest factors in living a healthy, happy life and we wanted to ensure women have the same access to it as men.
How we built it
We built it using HTML on VS Code. We broke the project down into pages.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into many formatting challenges with our accessibility features, as well as our data entry.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud of how much we learned during this experience and the extent to which we were able to build our project in such a limited amount of time.
What we learned
We learned the ins and outs of HTML, the importance of time management and communication, and the values of working as a team (and hype music).
What's next for Giving Accessible Vital Knowledge to Women
We plan to publish this website and do trial runs to ensure that it could succeed in the real world.
