Inspiration --> Cornell Giving Day!1
What it does --> Facilitates donations especially from international alumni to universities, increasing donations, overall donations gained, and speeding up time from donation to use.
How we built it --> Used Figma to showcase how our product will work. We will be utilizing PayPal to facilitate the conversion between other currencies to stable coin like PYUSD.
Challenges we ran into --> Some challenges we ran into were being able to effectively estimate the total cost of our business model, and be able to account for such costs with a small percent fee on universities using our product. We need to make sure to be able to make profit, and we ran into roadblocks being able to aquire an exact percentage for this transaction.
Accomplishments that we're proud of --> All of us are studying some form of engineering so many of these business and finance topics were new to use. We are proud that we were able to learn so many new things and adapt to this new environment.
What we learned --> We learned about the service that PayPal and Rippling offer! We were able to create an idea that will utilize PayPal and its stable coin PYUSD.
What's next for GIVECOIN --> Possibly pitching this idea at more events, hopefully bringing this idea to life @Cornell.
