Inspiration

Wanted to help grow my subs with giveaways, but there was no way to ensure giveaway entrants were members of the sub. This app can be configured to require entrants to join the sub in order to win.

What it does

Custom lottery style or wheel style giveaways, completely customizable by the mods of the sub. Define the method of entry, the number of entries per user, number of winners, etc. The app handles the rest! Once the timer is up, winners are selected automatically and can be contacted to redeem their prize.

Challenges we ran into

It was difficult to validate that a user has navigated to a sponsor link, but we managed to make it work! Mods can configure visiting an external link as the entry method, and the app can validate that the user did visit the page.

What's next for Giveaway app

Continuing to add new interactive giveaway modes, such as name in the hat. Also investigating a better way for winners to claim their prize, such as automated mod mail.
