Give & Get

Inspiration

We wanted to build an app that would connect friends and communities. We love well-being and we thought that there's no solution out there that allows people to share it with each other.

What it does

Give & Get is a Social Media app for Wellbeing. Everyday at a random time, everyone will get a push notification to answer a Wellbeing Prompt -- log on and answer it, and then scroll through your feed to see what everyone else answered! Check out our demo for more.

How we built it

We used Swift, Swift UI, and UI Kit for the front-end and utilized King Fisher and Firebase for back-end development.

Challenges we ran into

Our challenges included time management, running into multiple bug walls, and figuring out how to translate our Figma vision to our actual app.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

-Implementing All Features (Upload Profile Photo, Back-End Connection, Prompt View, Messaging System, etc)

-Building an app (Neither of us have built an app before)

-Competing in our second hackathon!

What we learned

We've been able to flesh out our understanding of Swift, Figma, and Git. We've also learned more about App Development, including project management, app ideation, and user segmentation.
