Inspiration
We had only 36 hours to create something meaningful, so we developed a charity website where organizations can register and users can donate. Users can also create lists and filter charities based on their preferences.
What it does
Give Together is a platform that connects people and organizations. Users can make one-time or monthly donations, which are securely saved.
How we built it
We utilized JavaScript and React.js for the frontend, Node.js, express.js for the backend, and MongoDB as the database.
Challenges we ran into
Time was our main challenge. We had to design, build, and integrate the website within a tight 36-hour deadline. Despite this, the challenge was also exciting.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We take pride in our seamless synergy and partnership. Our planning, coordination, and teamwork were outstanding, regardless of the outcome.
What we learned
We gained experience in time management, collaboration, and technical skills, including JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, and MongoDB. We also recognized the significance of prioritizing user experience (UX) design.
What's next for Give Together
Our future plans for Give Together include expanding the charity database, improving donation management, integrating social features, enhancing security measures, and developing a mobile app. Our aim is to foster connections, facilitate giving, and make a positive impact on the community.
