Inspiration:
Our inspiration was gaining experience with stacks we were not familiar with, we worked together and we came up with a brilliant idea
What it does: The Github search engine searches for users based on their usernames, then it queries the API for it then renders it on our visually engaging UI
How we built it:
We used the Github React API to Query the user data from the API, then we used react JS for the front-end experience, Typescript for the static types checking, we also used Tailwind CSS to style the reusable components
Challenges we ran into:
we ran into problems with the web app stack; we had so many knowledge gaps, but we had to resort to research to find a solution
Accomplishments that we're proud of:
that we were able to create a web app so efficient in such a short time period
What we learned:
we learned how to work together to achieve a common goal, regardless of the knowledge disparities between us
What's next for Github Search Engine:
The platform can be used on a large scale by fellow developers, and it can be monetized by the use of services like adsense
