Inspiration

I love pixel art and old retro games. As I was brainstorming for ideas, I saw a deck of Pokémon cards on my table and thought, what if I had a card like that for myself to share with others? Since I am a developer, I came up with the idea to use the GitHub API to create an RPG-style card with stats like Strength, Stamina, and Wisdom.

What it does

The site takes a GitHub username and builds an RPG-style stat card based on that user’s GitHub activity.

How we built it

I built the whole project in Bolt. I made a few small fixes, but everything was created and deployed using Bolt.

Challenges we ran into

Most challenges were small. The main one was getting the UI to look the way I imagined. Bolt helped a lot with this and made it easier than I expected.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am really proud of the UI. It looks exactly how I wanted.

What we learned

I learned that I can just start building something and enjoy the process. I might even create a game this weekend using Bolt!

What's next for Github RPG Stats

I plan to add some new UI features and fix a few things to make it work even better.
