Inspiration

When I graduated from my boot camp, Microverse.org, my first idea was to look for GitHub repos to participate in. However, I didn't just want any repos, I wanted to find nascent projects with small communities of hackers which would be welcoming for beginners.

What it does

This project scrapes the easiest and most beginner-friendly repositories from Git Hub. The list of scraped repos is hosted in a GitHub repository.

How we built it

I formed a team of various Microverse-involved hackers and we built everything using React and shell scripts.

Challenges we ran into

Deadlines were slow because work was asynchronous and free. But we finished it!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to participate in the Hacktober fest! This drew some attention from hackers new to the project.

What we learned

Project management was one of the things we managed to implement successfully.

What's next for Github Issue Finder

I'd like to turn this repo into a community, a task force if you will, of hacking beginners, that go around fixing issues in other repos!
