GitHub Autopilot is a self-hosted AI GitHub App that transforms repositories into intelligent, autonomous development environments. Instead of waiting for developers to manually review code, triage issues, or monitor security, Autopilot continuously analyzes repository activity and delivers actionable insights the moment events occur.
Every pull request is automatically enriched with AI-generated descriptions, code quality grades, blast-radius analysis, and testing recommendations. Issues are intelligently prioritized, labeled by complexity, and supplemented with targeted follow-up questions and estimated resolution times. Every push is scanned for exposed secrets and vulnerable dependencies before they become production incidents.
Beyond automation, GitHub Autopilot provides an extensive suite of 26 AI-powered slash commands that developers can invoke directly from GitHub comments. From generating production-ready fixes and architecture reviews to documentation, security audits, changelogs, release notes, workflow execution, and repository health analysis, developers can perform complex engineering tasks without leaving GitHub.
Designed with security and scalability in mind, every command is permission-aware, rate-limited to prevent abuse, and integrated with GitHub's native permission model. Destructive operations such as merges, releases, and automated fixes require elevated repository permissions and multiple safety checks.
The platform is optimized to run entirely on the free tier, using Render for hosting, Redis for caching, and Groq's high-speed LLM API for AI inference, allowing individuals and open-source maintainers to deploy an enterprise-grade AI engineering assistant with virtually zero infrastructure cost.

GitHub Autopilot bridges the gap between code hosting and intelligent software engineering, enabling faster reviews, higher code quality, stronger security, and improved developer productivity—all without changing existing GitHub workflows.
As of now I am still building the version to be shared with everyone and you don't need to download many files and stuff just to run our app but lets see what comes next[I'll keep working as long as it takes to make the perfect version possible of this but hopefully you will enjoy this one too]
