Inspiration - About 36% of people are considered obese. Every 3 out of 4 men are considered to be obese.
What it does - Mark 1 allows the user to input their height and weight and calculates the BMI.
How we built it - Although we are somewhat new to programming we tried to challenge ourselves by using Android Studio.
Challenges we ran into - Some challenges we ran into were debugging class path errors and making buttons. We used some online resources and help from other teams but we eventually solved our problems.
Accomplishments that we're proud of - We are proud of making an android app while learning syntax on the way. On top of that we are also novice programmers.
What we learned- We learned how to use Android Studio and debug code.
What's next for GitFit - After the hackathon is over we plan on adding more features to the app such as, tracking your running and a game feature that will let you compete with friends and family.
