I started writing Git@Me in the summer of 2013 as a way to keep myself motivated to code and to stay on top of new projects. GitHub Explore was fundamentally broken back then (and still is), so I thought "Hey, why not try out & write about under-the-radar open source projects?" Ruby, Python, JavaScript, PHP, Shell — I want to learn about it all.
When I mentioned my idea to Colin Nederkorn at Customer.io and Kuan Huang at Betaworks, they told me stop thinking about it and go do it. Kuan said, don't even bother with a website, just start writing and emailing people.
So I did. And I've been doing it every week for over 1.5 years. Now, I'd like to find a co-writer to cover more languages and provide a little extra oomph. If that's you, send me a note or comment below!
