Girlwork | Unbroken Heart

Inspiration

Driven by a morbid curiosity for internal anatomy's hidden poetry, I dove into surreal body horror, reimagining the heart not as vulnerability, but as a defiant, exploding emblem of unbridled power and rebirth.

What it does

It masterfully dissects the art of visceral spectacle: A wild, vengeful fantasy where a fierce femme surgically extracts her throbbing heart, letting it detonate in euphoric chaos—cleaning up emotional wreckage with cathartic fury.

How we built it

I generated over 20,000 AI images of the enigmatic woman, meticulously categorized by environments, moods, and surreal scenarios across the album's 50 tracks. These were then keyframed in a dynamic storyboard to sync with each song's vibe, transforming static visions into a fluid, narrative-driven spectacle that moves in lockstep with the beats.

Challenges we ran into

Exploding the heart erupted with surprising ease—AI nailed the visceral spray on the first renders—but orchestrating smooth camera pans around the girl during keyframing proved a rendering nightmare. Frames stuttered like a skipping heartbeat, faces deformed, demanding endless tweaks to maintain that seductive, unbroken flow without crashing the pipeline.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Hitting the sweet spot where the heart teeters on the razor's edge between hyper-realistic gore and fantastical allure—making the grotesque not just permissible, but intoxicatingly magnetic, drawing viewers into its hypnotic throb without a flinch.

What we learned

Merging dual keyframed scenes can unearth gold: Stitching disparate renders often yields emergent magic, slashing resource drains from full re-runs. It's a reminder that constraints breed ingenuity.

What's next for Girlwork | Unbroken Heart

This pop-infused heart-ripper snagged mainstream sparks, so if the sands of time hold, the next record could well lean harder into accessible anthems with that same anatomical edge. More femme-fueled explosions? Bet on it—hear this unbroken beat conquer the charts.
