Inspiration
In comparison to males, the number of women in science, technology, engineering, and math is comparatively low. With increased representation and awareness, the number of STEM females will soon equal that of STEM males, ushering in a new era of equality. Early in their education, females may acquire an interest in STEM but, due to cultural conventions, consider it to be a boy's or man's career. This problem might be caused by a lack of representation in STEM. The exclusion and inequity in this profession set off a chain reaction. Because there are fewer women in STEM, there is a lack of representation, which discourages young girls from pursuing careers in the field.
What it does
The current proportion of women in STEM is rather low. Young females continue to be reluctant to pursue jobs in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. As a result, GirlBing is a project that attempts to empower young women by teaching them the importance of STEM and wide range of opportunity associated with it. GirlBing's purpose is to provide them with information and to create a secure area for women to explore everything and anything stem.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This hackathon was a great learning experience. I learnt a lot about time management and development of chatbots using javascript.
