Inspiration: Many people with learning disabilities do not have the right tools to maximize their comfort levels in their working environment, ultimately making them less productive and efficient
Implementation: Cafe's are a great spot to get work done. Based off of certain factors such as noise level and crowd, the website will help find the perfect cafe for anyone to study
Code Used: A front end web design using HTML, CSS and Javascript
Challenges: Finding a way to connect our front and back end code, as well as using google maps APIs in our code, and learning how to build a front end website(since most of us only knew java or python coming into the hackathon); searching online resources to help us write code with little time and no experience
Proud of: Finding a way to build a front end in less than 24 hours given how little experience we have in the field.
What's next for GimmeSpace: Implementing a few back end programs that search for nearby cafes, sort cafes based on user input, store user data, and implementing ideas that more accurately reflect the needs of people with learning/physical disabilities utilizing research
