I'm always looking for cheap food, and whenever my friends tell me about a great deal I get so excited! But life always sets in, and all my intentions to take advantage of it are out the window. Having a site to crowd source all the regular deals that are spread across companies poorly made websites felt like the most efficient way to get cheap food in college students bellies.
Currently Gimme Deals! is a static website where admissions are sorted and checked for spam/ joke answers to keep up the quality of information. The site seemed best as a super quick resource, and requiring users to login and have an account seemed like a poor user experience. Eventually, if it picks up in usage, I'll look into a way to automate the deletion of "Your Mom, $69", but at the present it hasn't shown itself worth the development effort.
