Inspiration
Our inspiration was Shadow of the Colossus, but we wanted to take that feel and put it with a couch co-op multiplayer feel, something like Castle Crashers.
What it does
We were able to create about 80% of what we set out to achieve. You can attack the giant but unfortunately you cannot kill them. You can boost with the left trigger, hold it to charge and launch yourself into the air. We could not get our grapple hook feature done in time despite most of us getting an average of 2-4hours sleep over the whole Jam.
How I built it
We built the game in Unreal Engine 4
Challenges I ran into
Scope, we had a big task ahead of us and unfortunately we spent too long trying to get the game to run with pure physics which cost us.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We managed to achieve 80% of a very big idea and we can be proud we came so close to pulling it off
What I learned
Don't ever go full physics
