Decentralized GIF Sharing App

Inspiration

I wanted to create a fun app that didn't store users info but would be similar to other social media apps (minus the evil).

What it does

It allows users to authenticate through Blockstack and post anonymous gifs

How I built it

I built it using React, Bootstrap, Firebase Hosting, Firebase Functions and Firestore.

Challenges I ran into

Most of the challenges that I ran into had to do with the UI and things not rendering as expected

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm proud to be entering into my first Hackathon and creating an MVP that may become popular on the Blockstack network.

What I learned

I learned how to start thinking about a Blockstack app in terms of privacy of user's data and etc., it made for a really fun project.

What's next for GifStack

Next I want to create different categories and maybe some type of voting/ranking system as well as search to query the GIFs (and inputs to add more queryable information).
