Having always loved the command line, the idea of a hack involving it is always on my radar. What better way to involve it by converting gifs into an ascii format, which can easily be viewed on a terminal? From converting an image to ascii, to expanding a .gif, to displaying a series of ascii blocks in a nearly seamless way. This was a hard lesson in both working with the Giphy API, but also stitching together various parts of this together in a single batch file.
