Inspiration

Sharks are in serious decline, and over 60% of the world's 500 shark species are under threat of extinction. Most are threatened by overfishing for shark meat and fins, plus nets and longline fishing equipment that unintentionally tangled and trap sharks.

Sharks serve as a healthy indicator of the ocean and play an important role in the ecosystem by controlling the number of species below them in the food chain. The decline in the number of sharks would impact our ecosystem.

Inspired by flappy bird, we would like to build a game to raise the awareness of threats to sharks, and educate people on how they can help.

What it does

Users control our giddy shark by mouse clicks and help it to avoid dangers such as fishing boats, nets, and longline fishing equipments.

How we built it

We built the game using javascript.

Challenges we ran into

None of our team members have experience in game development using javascript.
