In this difficult time, we want to contribute by proposing a tool that enables citizens to gain easy access to important up-to-date information on COVID-19 response based on their location. Our application will contribute to make mobilization of citizens faster and secure with live updates and an online data base which connects national/European news and recommendations about health security, local-municipalities latest data in regions and a data base with bottom-up social initiatives of the communities.
More specifically: •Live updates from users & online databases •Reaches a wide audience and makes mobilization much faster •Promotes dynamic and digitally secure communities •The circulation of fake news is avoided •A data base for bottom-up social initiatives (connection with civil society)
For example, based on user location, the app informs about:
1) The closest reference hospital for Covid-19. 2) Which social and health services or commerce is available nearby. 3) Promotes dynamic and digitally secure communities: 3.1 Latest data on covid in regions 3.2 Spots of vulnerability (refugee camps, old people residencies, etc.) 4) Availability of bottom-up social initiatives.
Digitally Together
Who are going to provide data? State actors (Ministry of Health services and Social care, etc.), local stake holders (municipalities, public local actors, etc.) and bottom up social initiatives who cooperate with local authorities. This information will insure the avoidance of circulation of fake news and will provide security and a feeling of well being.
The methodology for selecting the relevant area is based on Geofencing.
The information will be live edited & live updated by municipalities, local/public authorities, central government or other social actors. Each stakeholder will be determining the area for which the info is valid. For example, using filters, residents of a specific municipality will be enabled to receive personalized information related to their own municipality, or nearby municipalities where applicable. In this way, the circulation of fake news is avoided, while the user is not bombed with non-relevant info.

What is more important than staying accurately and up to date informed about the restrictions applying to your residence area or finding out what measure are taken to other areas in Europe that one wants to travel to. This is exactly the information gap this web application comes to fill in a easy way, just by using the location accuracy of a mobile phone.
