Problem Statement

  • Simplifying medical procedures by organising and preserving each user's health data.
  • Connecting global health care system.
  • For booking appointment, in hospital/clinic is very hectic task, and also it is not known to us where we should go for clinic in case of emergency.
  • The government lacks a mechanism that can provide statistical data about each disease as well as data on the medicine supply chain.
  • There is no system which help government to keep eye on country’s health system and citizens health.

Our Solution

  • We built a platform where anyone, including doctors, can register and login using their basic identity information.
  • Higher authority can verify the doctors.
  • Verified doctors have access to doctor’s panel. Where they can check patient’s appointments and also book appointment for themselves.
  • They have access of patient’s full history.
  • And also they are able to enter data on a current health issue and the patient's expenditure on that issue.
  • Users can book their appointment with any doctor and they can also search for doctor by selecting doctor’s degree and speciality.
  • Users can see their medical expenditure, for doctor’s fees and for medicines too.

Impact

  • The impact of the GHS is potentially huge.
  • The initiative will help citizens, government and doctors to get to know about patient’s medical history. * Centralization of users’ health data.
  • Higher authorities can use the centralized data to get information about the health issue and how many users are affected by it.
  • They can also get information about how much normal people spend on health issues.
  • This can be seen by the features that we have added in our system such as Booking appointment and showing patient’s medical history which generally do not comes in the same place.
  • The thing that is not available in the market is the combination of all solutions of healthcare systems and basic techniques required to manage all things easily is all available in our system.

Future Prospects

  • Currently the platform can be used by doctors and normal users/patients only but it can be enhanced by making a panel for higher authorities/government.
  • This will help higher authorities to get information about health issues, health expenditure of citizens.
  • As there is no higher authority panel, the doctors cannot be verified, but an architecture for verifying doctors using their license can be implemented.
  • Normal users will be verified using government verifications id cards, to make it more robust and synchronized with existing government identification system.
  • In the near future we are also going to integrate APIs to check the integrity and confidentiality of doctors.
  • The doctors can register now without any special identification which we are going to fix as soon as possible, due to time constraints we cannot able to implement it now.

Innovation

  • When a patient visits a doctor, the doctor asks about the medical history of that patient, but this initiative will help doctors to get medical history of user directly.
  • Users will not have to wait for long time at hospital they can book appointment online and select date and time slot.
  • Higher authorities can access, visualize and take insights of medical data of the citizens (if implemented).
  • User/Patient can login and see his medical history, his medical expenditure. The expenditure on doctor’s fees and medicines is also visible to user himself and not to the doctor to keep the financial data abstracted.

Feasibility

  • Doctors can check their patients up within no time by looking at the medical history of patients.
  • User can see how much he spent on which issue and to which health issue he is prone to.
  • If the panel for higher authority is implemented, they can get insights about the health issues and expenditure on health issues to make citizens aware about it or make corresponding changes wherever necessary.
  • This project will make all that paperwork gone and make easy for all patients and doctors.
