GHS - Global Healthcare System

Project Idea (Problem Statement)

There is no system that helps the government to keep eye on the country’s health system and citizens' health. The government lacks a mechanism that can provide statistical data about each disease as well as data on the medicine supply chain. For booking appointments, in hospital/clinic is a very hectic task, and also it is not known to us where we should go for a clinic in case of emergency.

Our Solution

We built a platform where anyone, including doctors, can register and log in using their basic identity information. Verified doctors have access to the doctor’s panel. Where they can check patients’ appointments and also book an appointment for themselves. Users can book their appointment with any doctor and they can also search for doctors by selecting a doctor’s degree and specialty. Users can see their medical expenditure, for doctor’s fees and for medicines too.

Future Prospects

Currently the platform can be used by doctors and normal users/patients only but it can be enhanced by making a panel for higher authorities/government. As there is no higher authority panel, the doctors cannot be verified, but an architecture for verifying doctors using their license can be implemented. Anyone can register as a doctor as of now but we need to add verification of doctor.

Impact

The impact of the GHS is potentially huge. The initiative will help citizens, government, and doctors to get to know about patients’ medical history. Centralization of users’ health data. Higher authorities can use the centralized data to get information about the health issue and how many users are affected by it. The thing that is not available in the market is the combination of all solutions of healthcare systems and basic techniques required to manage all things easily is all available in our system.

Learning

We learn more about the Django database. we learn How to do CRUD operations on a database, How to fetch data from a database and We also learn all functionalities of Django and database operations. But most importantly we get some experience of making applications in such small time. And learn pressure handling.

More work to done
