🎯 Inspiration

We were inspired by the quiet emotions people carry every day — things they never say aloud, but long to express.
Once We Spoke was born from one simple idea:
What if strangers could write together — anonymously, for 3 minutes — and AI could turn that into a single, unforgettable story?
It’s a fusion of human vulnerability and artificial creativity — a space for collective catharsis.

How to design real-time, timed collaborative writing sessions using Bolt.new.
The power of prompt engineering in turning chaotic inputs into coherent, emotional narratives.
Using AI storytelling tools in creative, multi-input contexts.

🛠️ How We Built It

Built entirely on Bolt.new using their intuitive logic blocks and backend agents.
Sessions open every 5 minutes; users join anonymously and write freely within a time limit.
At session end, all entries are sent to AI with a refined prompt to generate a unified story.
Public stories can be saved.
Netlify is used for deployment.

🧗 Challenges We Faced

Merging multiple writing styles, tones, and emotions into a single AI-generated story.
Handling anonymous state securely while maintaining session identity during writing.
Building smooth real-time countdown logic and session management in Bolt.
Balancing UI simplicity with emotional depth and creative elegance.
Ensuring the story output feels meaningful — not generic — every single time.
