🎯 Inspiration

The inspiration behind GhostifyAI came from the frustration and confusion faced by millions of job seekers — including me — in today’s job market. You spend hours tailoring resumes, writing cover letters, applying to jobs, and then waiting endlessly... only to realize the job may never have existed.

After digging deeper, we uncovered the harsh reality: Many companies post ghost jobs — job listings with no real intention to hire — just to: ->Collect resumes for future hiring pools ->Inflate internal hiring metrics ->Appear to investors as though they’re growing ->Simply waste time of real candidates

This unethical trend sparked a mission: 🚨 Build a tool that exposes ghost jobs and gives job seekers their time, trust, and power back.

🛠 What It Does GhostifyAI helps job seekers instantly detect whether a job posting is real or a ghost job.

✅ How it works:

📋 Users paste the job description or listing text into the tool ⚙️ Our rule-based engine + optional ML checks for common red flags 🚦 It returns a "Ghost Score" with detailed insights 🧠 Visual signals help explain why the job might be fake

It’s built for speed, simplicity, and trust, with a modern UI that even non-technical users can use easily.

🧪 How I Built It

Frontend: React + Tailwind CSS for responsive, elegant design

**Deployed **via Netlify

Detection Engine: Rule-based filtering for vague wording, buzzwords, unrealistic roles, or missing responsibilities

**ML models **like BERT, XGBoost, and Random Forest (in progress)

Dev Tools: Vite, UnoCSS, PostCSS for fast and flexible development

Platform: Proudly built using ⚡ Bolt.new

Bolt’s workflow builder was used to chain prompts and build logic visually AI logic and output were designed directly within Bolt's interface
