Inspiration

Ever since the pandemic started, it has been hard on all of us, whether it's academics, work, extracurriculars, or even just staying home. With all this stress, sometimes we just want to escape reality. This is why we were motivated to create Psychill, a website with tons of interactive games to allow your mind to relax and roam free.

What it does

It is a website that has many games embedded into it which will help individuals take a step back from reality and dive into a world full of games so their stress and anxiety levels decrease. The games are simple and easy, so it won’t take too much time out of their day or completely distract them from their work.

How we built it

We built the home page using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Some games and are coded using python and some with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The games are linked into the website.

Challenges we ran into

One problem we faced was embedding python code into our website. None of our group members knew how to do this, so we decided to link the games to an online IDE such as repl.it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are happy that as a team, we successfully combined every individual's strengths and help each other out to create a finished project for a cause we are all passionate about. We managed to work through our hard moments, work collaboratively, and make something together!

What we learned

We learned how to create some fun and simple games and combine them all into a website. Going through the process of turning an idea into a finished product was also a valuable experience.

What's next

In the future, we plan to expand our collection of games.
