Inspiration
Every human being has dreams/goals (travel, change careers, learn a new language, and so on), but they have a hard time moving from the "dream" to action, due to lack of knowledge and/or motivation. Normal goal apps are boring and feel like homework!
What it does
GETI is a mobile app that turns big dreams into small, fun, daily tasks! And extremely personalized motivations "stuff" to keep you - motivated!
Dream it → You set a goal ("Visit Japan in 3 months"), upload a selfie, and AI generates this super fun image of you living that dream (Example: You are surrounded by cherry blossoms and ramen! 🍜)
Break it down → AI automatically creates specific micro-tasks: research visas, set flight alerts, book Kyoto hotel, learn 20 Japanese phrases!
Celebrate wins → Complete a task? Confetti explosion + random celebration GIF. PARTYYY!
Stay inspired → A TikTok-style Boost feed but 100% personalized to your goals. Japan trip content only. No random stuff.
Get nudged → Smart push notifications with personality: "Hey, one ramen away from your trip! Let's go!" They're cheerleaders, not nags.
How we built it
- Expo React Native
- Supabase
- Railway/Hono/Bun
- AI for images + task breakdown (Gemini)
- RevenueCat for subscriptions
Challenges we ran into
None, but only because there was enough material on the RevenueCat integration on the website ,and I had previously built apps using the same stack.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- The overall design and animations on the app.
- A fully working MVP that could be published right now at the store
