Inspiration We have seen what all the people have accomplished with working hard and getting fit. We have also seen people who aren’t nearly as fit, and the struggles they face in their everyday life. We don’t want this to happen anymore, so we thought of creating the best possible app for teenagers to StayFIT and healthy while following their dreams.
What it does This app helps and inspires students about 13 to 18 to get more exercise and get more fit. The person who will use the app will enter they’re height, weight, age, and gender. Based on that info we will give you tips and a daily log of what you should eat, and how much you should exercise. Even if you feel like you are fit and doing good this app can still help you. So what are you waiting for! Download the app for a healthier and better life.
How I built it We built this app by using an app called Figma to place screens and design our app. We also used a python compiler where we code our app. It took a lot of time but it was worth it to make sure you StayFIT.
Challenges I ran into There isn’t a project without challenges. Finding an app to code on and an app to design was one of our biggest challenges. Then designing the app was also an obstacle because in Figma there were always bugs occurring.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of Since this was our first hackathon, and our first time creating an app, we are very proud of what we completed. As a team, we got more experienced and will be stronger and better in future hackathons.
What I learned We learned how to work with a team and how to collaborate. Before this, we didn’t have much experience in python but thanks to this project our understanding of python has grown. We also didn’t have much experience using a designing app such as Figma, which we found a new interest in.
What's next for StayFIT We will aim to present them on mobile devices and get people to use our app. We will also build a website version of this app. We also want to spread the app for more ages. Anything to make everyone StayFIT!
