Inspiration
What inspired me the most is when I saw people stand in lines and waiting to speak to a phone operator for hours to get tested. It's not safe and not scalable.
What it does
This web app helps COVID-19 hotline phone operators manage and sift through patients who are in a dire need for testing.
How I built it
I used a web framework for python called Flask. I used a SQLite database and SQLAlchemy to map my objects into SQL tablets. Lastly, I used Heroku to host the application.
Challenges I ran into
Time as a huge issue for me I wish I had more time to fix my data filters and user interface. I also had problems during deployment because I didn't package the app well at the beginning.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
In a short amount of time, I was able to learn more about Flask and build a user interface that is interactive.
What I learned
Don't dwell on a problem. Stop and move to the next objective.
