Inspiration

L'inspiration du projet SGESC est née du constat que de nombreuses écoles en RDC utilisent encore des méthodes manuelles de gestion, entraînant des pertes d'informations, des erreurs et un suivi académique limité. SGESC a été conçu pour apporter une solution numérique moderne à ces défis.

What it does

SGESC digitizes school management by handling student records, attendance, grades, report cards, timetables, teacher management, and communication between schools, students, and parents.

How we built it

SGESC was built using modern web technologies, including Flutter for the user interface, Firebase for data management and authentication, and cloud services to ensure secure, fast, and reliable access to educational information.

Challenges we ran into

We faced challenges related to system design, data security, user access management, internet connectivity constraints, and adapting the platform to the real needs of schools in the DRC.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have designed a functional and scalable digital platform that centralizes school management, improves efficiency, and demonstrates how technology can transform education in the DRC. We also successfully integrated key features such as student management, attendance tracking, grades, and communication in one system.

What we learned

Through this project, we learned how to design and build a complete digital system, manage data securely, and solve real-world problems in education. We also improved our skills in software development, system architecture, and user-centered design.

What's next for GESTION DES ECOLES SECONDAIRES AU CONGO / SGESC: Next for SGESC is expanding the platform to more schools across the DRC, improving scalability and performance, and adding advanced features such as mobile payments, analytics dashboards, and real-time notifications. The long-term goal is to build a nationwide digital education ecosystem that fully modernizes school management.
