AI For Seniors & Caregivers
GeronAI is a product of Sayincraft Innovations.
GeronAI itself is an application for either Seniors, or Caregivers (which can be categorized as Family/Friends of the Senior, or Medical/Professional Caregivers). There is an issue where many seniors do not adopt gerontechnology due to pride, and do not wear life saving technology because of the stigmas around their design. Alternatives that appeal to any demographic, like an Apple Watch, that provide similar lifesaving features are important. A major focus of this app is to help families and caregivers, or seniors themselves find these technologies. Another major function of this app is to help in the explanation and adoption of new technologies. Our research has found that seniors are not less capable of learning new technologies, rather they lack the motivation to learn. Many caregivers, such as the children of seniors, often lack the language or patience to teach seniors in a meaningful way. Our application should help either talk to the seniors directly (if indicated as a senior user), or help give the caregivers the best approaches to language to maximize the probability of a senior being receptive to learning new information / new technologies. This could include translations to jargon that young people may be cognitively using without understanding how that jargon alienates new learners, even if the jargon seems simple to them.

Proprietary Information:
We use RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) which allows us to minimize the risk of hallucinations, as well as having more control over generated output. Our team curates examples of gerontechnology, like fall detection wearables, alongside more everyday alternatives that can do a similar job. That research sits behind the conversation, so seniors and caregivers can get answers that are useful, specific, and easier to act on.
Privacy:
This application does not collect personal or sensitive information about its users. Conversations stay private. People should be able to look for help without handing over a life story.
