For many people, immigration is more than paperwork. It’s about building a better life, supporting family, and chasing long-held dreams. But the process is often confusing and stressful. People depend on random online advice, outdated information, or expensive agents and a single mistake can cost years of time and savings.

This uncertainty is what inspired us. We asked a simple question: why should such an important decision be based on guesswork?
GeoNext AI was built to give people clear, honest guidance, so they can move forward with confidence instead of fear.

What it does

GeoNext AI helps people understand their real immigration options before they apply. Users share their profile details, and the system analyzes them against official immigration policies across 25+ countries.

Beyond immigration, GeoNext AI also offers an Explore Countries feature powered by AI. This allows users to explore country-specific opportunities not only for students, but also for professionals, business owners, researchers, and travelers, based on their goals.

Additionally, GeoNext AI includes a Travel Planner that generates a detailed 7-day itinerary roadmap for selected countries, helping users plan their visits effectively. To complete the experience, we provide Flights and Hotels search, allowing users to view available flight options and accommodation details in one place.

How we built it

We built GeoNext AI by combining AI agents with official immigration policy data to provide accurate and explainable recommendations. We used a multi-agent setup where each agent handles a specific task such as analyzing user profiles, generating visa options, and assessing risks.

To ensure reliability, we integrated Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) so that all insights are based on real policy documents. The backend was developed using FastAPI, while the frontend was built with Next.js to create a smooth and user-friendly experience. We also added AI-powered country exploration, travel planning, and flight and hotel discovery features to make GeoNext AI a complete global mobility platform.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was working with complex and constantly changing immigration rules and turning them into structured data that AI could understand. We also had to make sure the system did not generate incorrect or misleading information, since immigration is a high-impact decision.

Coordinating multiple AI agents within limited hackathon time was another challenge, especially while keeping the system fast and responsive. In addition, balancing advanced AI features with a clean and easy-to-use interface required careful design choices.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Within a tight hackathon timeline, we successfully built a complete end-to-end AI platform. We not only focused on core AI functionality but also ensured the user interface was clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate.

Despite time constraints, we managed to add additional features such as AI-powered country exploration, travel planning, and flights and hotels discovery. Balancing strong AI logic with a polished user experience in a short time is something we are especially proud of.

What we learned

Through building GeoNext AI, we learned how powerful multi-agent AI systems can be when complex problems are broken into smaller tasks. We also learned the importance of grounding AI responses with reliable data, especially in sensitive areas like immigration.

Beyond AI, we learned how critical user experience is when presenting complex information. Working within a short timeline taught us how to prioritize features, make quick technical decisions, and collaborate effectively as a team.

What's next for GeoNext AI

Next, we plan to scale GeoNext AI to support many more countries and immigration programs, making it truly global. We will continue improving the RAG database by adding more official policy documents and keeping them up to date to ensure high accuracy and trust.

We also aim to introduce personalized in-app flight and hotel booking with an integrated payment gateway, allowing users to search, book, and pay within the platform. With deeper personalization, better data coverage, and secure payments, GeoNext AI can grow into a complete end-to-end global mobility and travel intelligence platform.
