💡 Inspiration

When we first stepped into the world of investing, we were full of energy—but quickly hit a wall.

Every tool we tried felt like it was made for Wall Street Pros, not for people like us who were just starting out.

We juggled between 5 different apps—one for news, another for market data, another for simulations, and yet another for AI insights. But none of them talked to each other. None of them actually taught us how to make smart decisions.

And like most beginners, we made mistakes. Expensive ones.
We later discovered we weren’t alone: 80% of new investors lose money in their first year.

That’s when we realized:

  • Real-time market data
  • Safe, hands-on trading simulations
  • Personalized AI guidance that teaches while you trade

Meanwhile, fintechs, brokers, and even banks are all struggling to keep new users engaged—because the current platforms weren’t built for learning, they were built for execution.

So we decided to build the platform We Wished WE HAD.

This isn’t just an app. It’s a chance to reinvent how a new generation learns, trades, and grows wealth.

  • Personalized SONAR-AI chatbot linked directly to the trading interface

  1. Integrated Mapbox for globe-based market data visualization

  2. Integrated SONAR API for the news-driven Mapboard Section

  3. Connected Alpaca Paper Trading for simulating trades with Realtime Data

  4. Built a Stock Screener powered by SONAR’s insights

  5. Developed a Market Analyst Module to break down data via SONAR

  6. Created a Telegram bot for portfolio access, alerts, and AI chatbot integration

  7. Embedded SONAR chatbot into the trading interface for personalized answers

  8. Built a Compare Stocks feature -- comparing stocks based on realtime news & charts via SONAR API

  9. Continuously improved UI/UX during development

  10. Designed a Monetization Model and mapped out future potential

🧱 Challenges We Ran Into

  • 🧠 Took 10 days for clear ideation to fully understand Sonar API capabilities

  • 🌍 Mapbox globe insights weren’t rendering properly

  • 📉 Technical parameters via Sonar API were difficult to fetch

  • 🆚 The Compare Stocks dashboard threw multiple errors

  • 🤖 Telegram bot integration with paper trading & Sonar Deep Researcher was tricky

  • 🎨 Several UI bugs needed constant attention

  • 🚧 Deployment and Pushing Code was sometimes blocked or failing
