News is interesting. Especially where it happens.
What it does
Shows you a variety of different cities or regions to choose from, and grabs the latest news stories happening in those areas.
How we built it
We started with a simple Express app, built up the Google Maps functionality, created dynamic WebHose queries, and displayed the data.
Challenges we ran into
Lots! We spent a lot of time working out Google Maps, structuring our WebHose queries, and routing. So much routing.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It works! We had to learn a lot of different techniques for manipulating data and DOM elements, but it was fun!
