Hack-Speech

Inspiration

Helping people with impaired vision and hearing inspired me to make this extension with a view to lessening their struggle while reading the internet texts.

What it does

This extension helps such people see magnified texts of copy-pasted internet texts which will soothe their reading habits and also enables them to hear that text in the computer's voice.

How I built it

I built it using plain HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

Challenges I ran into

Converting text to speech, knowing ins and outs of a chrome extension were the notable challenges I faced during this extension's development.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of successfully making a browser extension that helps people suffering from physical incapabilities and makes the internet accessible to them.
