Inspiration

The journey to creating GentleParent+ was fascinating. We brainstormed ideas until we settled on something personal to all of us: gentle parenting.

What it does

GentleParent+ provides parents with kinder alternatives to traditional discipline methods. It offers supportive guidance for handling tough parenting moments.

How we built it

We used JavaScript for the backend, storing responses in arrays and using if-statements to trigger them. The frontend, built with HTML, hosts the chatbot, making it easy for users to interact.

Challenges we ran into

We faced challenges in generating ideas, coding complexities, and debugging issues. Keeping the chatbot's responses logical was particularly tricky.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud to have created a functional solution that offers accessible support to users.

What we learned

Through this project, we gained insights into coding, learned the importance of time management, and appreciated the value of teamwork.

What's next for GentleParent+

We plan to improve the user experience by making the AI more inclusive, fostering greater engagement and support within the gentle parenting community.
