Inspiration
Helping Genshin Impact player's understand the Genshin Impact wish system
What it does
Debunk the theory that there exists two stages to the soft pity wish system on Genshin Impact. Instead, there is actually only one stage of the soft pity wish system.
How we built it
Imported csv files into Python pandas and plotted pandas data frame using MatPlot and manipulated data in pandas data frame using lambdas functions. We created a pity calculator using React.js in order to help players find their chances of getting a 5-star in their next pulls.
Challenges we ran into
Originally, we were trying to prove the two stages of the soft pity system theory to be real therefore meaning there were more functions at play in the wishing system compared to what Hoyoverse's guidelines say. However, we realized later on that the soft pity system is actually only composed of one stage.

Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being able to adjust our original claim that might've been misleading to Genshin players to arrive at a more conclusive, accurate claim to help improve their gaming experience with the Genshin wish system.
What we learned
There is definitely an existence of a soft pity system outside of the guidelines Hooverse stated regarding the wish system.
What's next for Team Pity Me
The next step is figuring out if getting 5-stars at low pity multiple times can cause the next 5-star to come at a higher pity or vice versa in order to make sure no player is too lucky or too unlucky.
