Genius flashcard

Inspiration

The entire family is at school, learning. Flashcard works well, and even better with a partner to read and confirm the knowledge... That was just a small step to get this ability to Alexa, with the possibility to add new set and avoid the typical app with only one set of flashcard

What it does

Allow users to choose a set among all the predefined sets... And create its own sets of cards

How I built it

Https Web service running on EC2 , and a MySQL database

Challenges I ran into

First time development of Java, JavaScript, pay with Amazon. Only second skill developed on Alexa

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

All of it! From a polished voice user interface , including card selection menu to a mini web site for creating content!

What's next for Genius flashcard

I want to keep adding new set of cards. Soon, users will be able to share content with their friends or community. To improve the learning experience, it will also be possible for users to add audio clips and images to their custom sets.
