What it does

Shady Plants is a web app to inform farmers and institutions about the potential of agrivoltaics by providing a simple user interface and useful statistics for individual fields.

How we built it

For users to be able to select individual fields on a map preprocessed by a segmentation algorithm, we trained on our own dataset labeled by us. With this information, we gather climate data for individual fields from DWD databases and use a variety of scientific models to generate detailed statistics quantifying the benefits of using agrivoltaics.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We've created our own labeled dataset, trained a segmentation algorithm, and created a fully working web application incorporating our core functions.
