Inspiration

The inspiration for GenieGreen stems from the desire to make a tangible impact on environmental sustainability. I wanted to create a tool that not only educates, informs and empowers individuals to make greener choices but also fosters a sense of community and climate action towards a healthier planet.

What it does

GenieGreen is an AI-powered personal assistant designed to guide users towards a more sustainable lifestyle. It provides personalized recommendations, motivation, tracks progress, and could offer resources to help users reduce their ecological footprint. Additionally, it fosters engagement through a green chat, interaction, and inspiration for eco-friendly actions.

How we built it

I built GenieGreen using AWS Party Rock recommendations, for learning to using it I watched YouTube tutorials from AWS Developers and content creators. I used also my knowledge a sustainability researcher with experience in climate activism and conferences.

Challenges we ran into

To define the appropiate inputs that could make the user experience more insightful and informative, what questions and information ask to obtain greater advice in green actions.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The development of the app and the user experience. I tested it with friends, and they found really interesting. And how everything at the end were at their right place like a puzzle.

What's next for GenieGreen

Development of a MVP and more user research and tests. I would love to share it with my friends who are environmental activists as well as friends from work to learn new ways of approaching the sustainable factor and improving it.
